Job summary

Be Different SA (Pty) Ltd in Johannesburg CBD seeks a Systems Analyst (Forex or International Payments) to translate large initiatives into IT solutions for the banking sector. You will work on complex projects spanning multiple teams and business units.

Requirements include a degree or diploma (and/or CBAP), 7+ years of systems analysis, 4–5 years in Payments/Forex, strong Use Case and UML skills, and exposure to cross-border payment rails (Swift, ISO20022).

Qualifications

• Degree or Diploma and/or CBAP Certification.
• 7+ years of systems analysis experience.
• 4–5 years Payments/Forex domain experience.
• Strong Use Case and UML knowledge.
• Exposure to systems being developed is an advantage.
• Experience with cross-border payment rails (Swift) is beneficial.
• Understanding ISO20022 payments messages is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and design new functionalities or upgrades with high complexity.
• Lead and facilitate design sessions to produce functional specifications.
• Identify risks and mitigation strategies within projects.
• Analyse integrations (XML, web services, APIs) and design interfaces.
• Write SQL queries and assist in database design.
• Model system designs with UML diagrams to meet objectives.
• Collaborate with stakeholders and guide analysts end-to-end.
