SUMMARY OF KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDED BUT NOT LIMITED TO:
Administration and motivation of projects based on the User Requirements Specifications.
Installation of all plant and equipment meets the generally accepted technical standards for the work being done.
Manage resource for optimal installation and commissioning of plant and equipment.
Ownership of the installation of plant and equipment with minimum impact on process and operations within the confines of the RR safety process and procedures.
Liaison with relevant foreman and managers from all disciplines across the site to ensure consistency in formulation and implementation of safe practices and services for the installation of plant and equipment.
Liaison with utility suppliers (Eskom, Rand Water and Sasol) with respect to infrastructure maintenance and possible supply disruptions.
Raising of SAP notifications for additional work to be conducted by the Maintenance team.
Assists in cost reduction initiatives by reducing waste and improving efficiencies (Costs).
Ensure that all deliverables required have been met and potentially exceeded (Project Quality).
Management of contractors of all disciplines related to the installation and construction of plant and equipment on site (No cost overruns).
Implement, drive and monitor Zero Harm practices, systems and processes in areas of Safety, health and environment.
Participate in any inspection or audit as may be required.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum qualification – N3 or equivalent with a recognised Trade test certificate preferably in Boiler making or fitting with experience in construction work.
A national diploma or higher in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering would be advantageous.
Minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in a similar role would be advantageous.
