Foreign Trade Analyst - Logistics

Job Responsibilities:

1. Import & Export Compliance and internal controls reporting in line with the BOSCH Customs central directive.
2. Coordinate import & export functions and support the acquittal process for exports using the SARS stats analysis securing acquittal documents reconciliation and collaborate with different internal business units.
3. Service invoice verification: Receiving invoices, ensuring all supporting documents are available, and verifying service invoices for accuracy ensuring they align with relevant contractual rate cards.
4. Internal archiving on the department's storage drive.
5. Costs tracking: Identify and analyse potential savings opportunities in the South Africa FT operation.
6. Coordinate and update the Invoice Handling Procedure SOP & maintenance as per CD.
7. Ensure LT maintenance of invoice processing as per the LSP invoice flow process including dispute resolution.
8. Enforce accuracy in billing by service providers by tracking and reporting all inaccurate billings.
9. KPI tracking: Document error rate per LSP; processing time to support the LSP management process.
10. Support with the quarterly Internal Controls Check (ICS) and the Annual Broker LSP Audits.
11. Rate cards management: Ensure department is updated with rate cards & changes in contracts affecting the department's operations.
12. KPI tracking (clearance LT, Delivery LT, LSP performance, Cost analysis).
13. Total costs (transport, VAT, Duty, Broker) processed.
14. Savings reporting and costs avoidance.
15. Analyse foreign trade data and generate reports using Power BI to support decision making and performance tracking (FTOD, ICS, Savings & KPIs).
16. Reporting and analysis to customers.
17. Proxy for clearance instruction processing.

Qualifications:

1. Minimum Matric.
2. Degree / Diploma in Customs, Logistics & Supply Chain, Purchasing or similar.

Experience:

1. 3-5 years practical experience in supply chain customs & foreign trade.
2. Profound knowledge of logistics and foreign trade.
3. Understanding of South African customs and foreign trade rules and regulations.
4. Experience with dealing with customs authorities (preferred).
5. Understanding of BOSCH business models (e.g., cross divisional and multi departmental).
6. IT Experience (e.g., SAP or MS Excel).
7. Automotive / FMCG experience would be advantageous.
