Job description

Minimum requirements:

  • At least 5 years experience in establishing and implementing a GFSI system.
  • As the Food Safety Manager, achieved a GFSI certification.
  • Outstanding internal auditing skills on FSSC (or any other GFSI System).
  • Internal auditing experience on ISO is an advantage.
  • Assertive and results-driven.
  • Punctual in achieving target dates.
  • Excellent time management.
  • Efficient, well-organized, and approaches tasks in a structured way.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
  • Management and leadership skills.
  • Lab management experience.
  • Conflict management skills.

  • Valid driver’s license.

Role and responsibilities:

  1. Conduct high-standard internal audits against the FSSC standard, IP Handling, and Environmental audits.
  2. Report writing and effective implementation of corrective actions.
  3. Provide feedback to management.
  4. Ensure successful external audits by customers and certification bodies to achieve certification and supplier approval.
  5. Manage the lab, ensure equipment efficiency, monitor quality, record keeping, and maintain statistics.
  6. Daily reporting on product conformance.
  7. Sample analysis at external and internal labs and interpretation of results.
  8. Liaise with customers on complaints, perform root cause analysis, identify corrective and preventive actions, follow up on their effectiveness, and draw up graphs.
  9. Provide training on FSSC and Environmental Management.
  10. Conduct meetings and info sessions for communication.
  11. Maintain document and record control.
  12. Compile business review papers and other reports for senior management evaluation.

Reporting lines:

  • The successful candidate reports to the General Manager for Food Safety and Environmental Management (dotted line to System Compliance Manager for corporate governance).
  • Direct reporting to the System Compliance Manager on Quality (dotted line to the General Manager).
