Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Production Operator for a food and beverage facility in Stellenbosch. You will operate and monitor processing machinery, ensuring products meet quality and safety standards while maintaining a clean, sanitary workspace.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a production operator in the food & beverage industry.
• Understanding of food safety regulations and hygiene practices.
• Ability to operate and monitor machinery effectively.
• Good observational skills and attention to detail.
• Able to stand for long periods and lift moderate loads.
• Team player with good communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor food processing machinery (mixers, ovens, fillers, packaging equipment).
• Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene standards (HACCP, GMP).
• Monitor product quality and adjust machinery settings as needed.
• Perform routine cleaning and sanitation of equipment and work area.
• Assist with stock control and material handling.
• Report any operational issues to the shift supervisor promptly.
