Minimum 5 years’ experience in Food & Beverage operations with 2 years in a management role | Strong operational & financial acumen | High computer literacy including Nebula & SCS | South African citizenship required

This position will be filled in accordance with the hotel’s Employment Equity Policy.

A prestigious 5-star hotel in the heart of Sandton is seeking a seasoned and service-focused Food & Beverage Operations Manager to oversee all F&B departments, including restaurants, bars, room service, conferencing, and banqueting.

This role requires a commercially minded leader who is passionate about exceptional hospitality, guest satisfaction, and delivering revenue performance in line with luxury standards.

You will manage the day-to-day operations of all F&B outlets, drive revenue growth, maintain food and beverage cost controls, and ensure service delivery exceeds expectations. Leading a team of 10+ direct reports, you’ll also support talent development, compliance, guest engagement, and event innovation across the property.

  • Grade 12 (Matric)
  • Recognised 3-year hospitality or F&B qualification (advantageous)
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in Food & Beverage with at least 2 years in Food and Beverage Management.
  • Computer literacy in MS Office, Nebula, and SCS; basic INFOR knowledge an advantage
  • Strong knowledge of hotel operations and ownership environments
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Solid understanding of financials, costing, menu planning, and stock control
  • Own transport required
  • South African citizenship (non-negotiable)
  • Knowledge of applicable labour and liquor laws
  • Third or European language skills (advantageous)
  • Oversee daily operations across restaurants, bars, in-room dining, and events
  • Lead, mentor, and train a high-performance F&B team
  • Drive revenue and cost control in alignment with departmental targets
  • Ensure compliance with health, liquor, and safety regulations
  • Manage departmental rosters and labour costs
  • Ensure consistent delivery of five-star guest service across all F&B touchpoints
  • Support marketing initiatives and implement creative promotions
  • Maintain strict financial procedures, cash controls, and reporting protocols
  • Conduct regular departmental meetings and staff performance reviews
  • Coordinate with the Executive Chef, Sales, and Marketing on menu updates and launches
  • Handle guest feedback and implement continuous service improvements
  • Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and reporting to the Deputy GM
  • Hands-on and present in operations
