Programme Duration: 12 Months
Location: Nationwide (across all provinces)
Stipend: Monthly allowance provided

About the FNB Learnership Programme 2025

First National Bank (FNB), in partnership with SAYouth.mobi, is offering unemployed South African youth a life-changing opportunity to join its 2025 Learnership Programme. This initiative forms part of FNB’s broader commitment to youth empowerment, skills development, and inclusive economic growth.

The programme provides a combination of structured classroom training and on-the-job experience, helping young people develop essential skills in finance, administration, customer service, IT, sales, and more.

What the FNB Learnership Offers

Participants will:

  • Gain hands-on experience at FNB branches and business units
  • Be mentored by industry professionals
  • Develop skills in customer service, sales, administration, and banking operations
  • Receive a monthly stipend to assist with transport and living costs
  • Obtain a nationally recognised qualification upon successful completion
  • Be South African citizens, aged 18–34
  • Be unemployed for at least the last 6 months
  • Have a minimum of a Matric certificate (NQF 5 or 6 qualifications accepted)
  • Not be studying currently
  • Have less than 12 months of part-time or casual work experience
  • Never have worked at FirstRand or participated in the FirstJob programme
  • Have no criminal record or blacklisting
  • Be willing to commit to a 12-month full-time learnership
