Job summary

An established industry player is seeking a skilled technician to oversee the onsite maintenance of fuel management systems. This role involves performing fault diagnostics, installing and commissioning products, and ensuring all equipment is in optimal condition. The ideal candidate will have an Electrical Trade Test and experience in electro-mechanical or instrumentation fields. Job description

The incumbent is mainly responsible for onsite maintenance of a fuel management system on site.

Main Job Functions: The core responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following:

  1. Perform fault diagnostics and error analysis.
  2. Install and commission the company products.
  3. Repair, remove, inspect, and service the company products.
  4. Ensure that the company equipment is in good working order and condition.
  5. Ensure that the equipment is maintained and repaired/installed in accordance with the OEM requirements and specifications R339K.
  6. Compile a schedule for preventative maintenance on the fixed fuel management system, which will be distributed to all relevant customer parties.
  7. Assist with mini projects run in maintenance.
  8. Support and assist the Database Specialist with investigations and solutions as necessary.
  9. Perform administrative tasks such as keeping records of all new installed equipment, maintaining vehicle log books, and ensuring that job cards are completed timeously, correctly, and handed in for invoicing.
  10. Keep track of stock and perform regular stock counts.
  11. Assist customers with technical advice on the company products.
  12. Inform the customer representative of any equipment that has become obsolete or is beyond economical repair.
  13. Support the marketing effort of products to customers.
  14. Act as Site Manager.
  15. Comply with all the customer's rules, regulations, and policies such as health, safety, quality, and environment, and adhere to all safe working procedures.
  16. Ensure that all medical fitness and induction documents required by the customer, including the Contractors Pack, are up to date and make the necessary appointments and arrangements for renewal.
  17. Report on a daily basis to the appointed customer representative before commencing daily work responsibilities.
  18. Attend weekly/monthly safety meetings as required by the mine.

FORMAL TRAINING REQUIRED:

Electrical Trade Test required.

Electro-mechanical or instrumentation experience required.
