Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a motivated Merchandiser to join our team in Vereeniging. You will manage in-store displays, ensure correct pricing, stock levels and presentation across Gauteng FMCG outlets, and gather market intelligence to drive sales.

The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented and communicative, with 1–2 years in retail merchandising and a valid driver's license for travel to stores. Competitive hourly pay and opportunities for advancement are offered.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; marketing/retail certifications are a plus.
• 1–2 years of merchandising experience in FMCG.
• Strong grasp of retail environments and visual merchandising.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills; interact professionally with store personnel.
• Reliable transportation and travel to various store locations.

Responsibilities

• Execute in-store merchandising plans according to company guidelines.
• Ensure products are priced, stocked, and displayed in prime locations.
• Maintain product freshness and rotate stock to minimize spoilage.
• Build and maintain relationships with store managers and staff.
• Gather competitor information and sales data from retail visits.
• Identify opportunities for increased sales and brand visibility.
