Flow Wrap Machine Operator

A client of ours within the Packaging sector is looking for an experienced Flow Wrap Machine Operator to join their dynamic team.

Requirements :

• Minimum of 1 year experience in operation of machine
• Hands-on experience in the food or food packaging industry is essential
• Basic mechanical and troubleshooting ability
• Familiarity with quality control standards and food safety protocol (FMS advantageous)
• Technical Aptitude

Responsibilities :

• Operate the flow wrap automatic packing machine to the required standards to ensure the smooth flow of production
• Set up the machine according to the specific product packaging requirements
• Perform regular checks and adjustments to ensure optimal machine performance
• Monitor product quality during the production and packaging process to ensure consistency
• Perform visual inspections and quality checks on packaged products
• Address any quality issues immediately, reporting them to the production manager
• Conduct routine preventative maintenance checks on the flow wrap machine to prevent downtime
• Identify and troubleshoot mechanical or operational issues and work with production manager to resolve
• Coordinate with the production manager and support team for any major repairs or technical support
• Follow all safety protocols and ensure a safe working environment
• Adhere to company policies, procedures and industry regulations
• Report any hazards or safety concerns immediately
• Maintain accurate records of production output, machine settings, and maintenance activities
• Document any issues, solutions, and adjustments made during the shift
• Work closely with the production team to ensure timely product output
• Document all wastage
• Communicate with the production manager and warehouse team as needed to ensure smooth operations
• Organize and monitor casual labour where required
• Work with production manager to ensure all FMS and safety requirements are maintained at all times
