Masakhane Barcoding & Labels in Gauteng seeks an experienced Senior Print Operator to lead and manage its Flexographic printing Department. This hands-on people manager role requires solid production experience and strong administrative skills in a stable manufacturing environment.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing daily print operations, leading production teams, and ensuring quality, efficiency, and delivery targets are consistently met.

Qualifications

• Matric is the minimum educational requirement.
• Own transport with a valid driver's license is required.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in printing or manufacturing.
• Prior supervisory or management experience is required.
• Strong people management and administrative capabilities.
• Good understanding of printing processes; flexographic experience is advantageous.
• Computer literacy with good Excel skills and basic production systems.
• Willingness to learn, develop, and take on increased responsibility.

Responsibilities

• Plan and manage daily and weekly printing production schedules.
• Lead and manage printing staff including attendance, discipline and performance.
• Ensure production targets, quality standards and deadlines are met.
• Oversee job cards, production reporting, waste control and admin accuracy.
• Monitor print quality, colour consistency and press changeovers.
• Coordinate with maintenance, quality, and production planning teams.
• Ensure housekeeping, safety standards, and SOP compliance.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to boost efficiency, quality and cost control.

Requirements
