Job summary

AB InBev Africa is seeking a committed Fleet Safety Lead to manage on-ground safety and fleet operations in line with OHS and governance standards. The role covers all vehicle categories, coaching site staff, and ensuring regulatory compliance while supporting multiple sites including remote operations.

You will maintain records, lead audits, and drive safety improvements across the fleet, ensuring timely maintenance and risk mitigation in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• 3-year tertiary degree / diploma is required.
• 2–3 years fleet functional work experience is preferred.
• Applicable Occupational Health and Safety Act of 93, South African Road Traffic Act and governance knowledge are required.
• Business and financial acumen is expected.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, Word and knowledge of SAP.
• Strong analytical ability demonstrated.
• Good performance track record.
• Health and Safety knowledge.
• High levels of integrity and honesty.
• Strong self-management qualities.

Responsibilities

• Oversee safety and fleet management in line with AB-InBev policies and governance.
• Ensure compliance with OHS Act and Road Traffic Act.
• Provide sustainable fleet and safety support to on-site and remote operations.
• Conduct ongoing coaching on OHS compliance and safety practices.
• Maintain records, licensing histories, and maintenance documentation.
• Participate in audits and implement corrective actions.
• Report fleet availability and performance across functions.
• Drive continuous improvement of safety pillars and environmental programs.
• Manage maintenance plans, vendor quotes, and budget alignment.
• Support regional fleet manager with master data changes and procurement.
• Engage with stakeholders to mitigate risks and protect assets.
