Job summary

The South African Breweries in Pretoria is seeking a Fleet Safety & Compliance Manager to own safety and fleet operational standards. You will drive compliance with OHS and Road Traffic Acts, manage fleet records and budgets, and coordinate with multiple stakeholders to sustain governance and safe operations.

Ideal candidates will have 2–3 years fleet experience, strong analytical skills, and proficiency in SAP and MS Office.

Qualifications

• 3-year tertiary degree or diploma required.
• 2–3 years fleet experience.
• Knowledge of OHS Act, Road Traffic Act and governance standards.
• Strong financial acumen and inventory control.
• Proficiency in SAP and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with the OHS Act and Road Traffic Act.
• Maintain sustainable fleet standards for the site.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to manage business hazards.
• Conduct daily inspections of depot fleet for compliance.
• Report daily fleet availability (trucks, trailers, forklifts).
• Maintain records including licences and pre-trip inspections.
• Drive DPO/SHE pillars through assessments and audits.
• Verify assets in BRN; manage master data changes.
• Understand vehicle maintenance needs for all categories.
• Develop site standards to minimise losses and ensure legal compliance.
• Manage budget expenditure (VLC) with monthly LE alignment.
• Oversee spare parts and inventory controls; tyre management.
• Support Workshop Safety 5S and maintenance SOPs.
• Entrench Safety culture and SHE programmes.
• Maintain site procedures and work instructions.
