Job description

Our client is seeking an experienced Fleet Manager to join the Port Elizabeth team.

  1. Daily route planning
  2. Oversee the deployment and maintenance of the company’s fleet
  3. Ensure all vehicles are operational and roadworthy
  4. Optimize fleet utilization to maximize efficiency and cost-effectiveness
  5. Ensure all vehicles comply with road traffic laws and regulations
  6. Maintain valid licensing, insurance, and permits for all vehicles
  7. Implement and monitor safety policies and procedures
  8. Conduct regular audits and inspections of the fleet
  9. Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules
  10. Manage relationships with service providers and workshops
Requirements
  • Grade 12 (Matric)
  • Tertiary qualification preferred
  • Minimum of 3 – 5 years experience in fleet management, logistics, or transport operations
  • Experience with short distance road freight
  • Knowledge of vehicle maintenance, fuel management, and compliance requirements
  • Proficiency in fleet management software and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Valid driver’s license
Desired Skills:
  • Grade 12 / Matric
  • Relevant qualification preferred
