Qualifications

Job description

Job Title: Fleet Manager

Type: Permanent

Location: CPT - CBD

The Fleet Manager will be responsible for managing all aspects of fleet operations, including maintenance, scheduling, performance, and client relationships.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Ensure all invoices and purchase orders are signed off and submitted to Finance; follow up on outstanding payments.
  • Handle insurance claims, traffic fines, and vehicle maintenance.
  • Manage driver hours, schedules, leave, overtime, and performance.
  • Oversee fleet operations including maintenance, licensing, services, wash bay, breakdowns, and diesel consumption.
  • Plan and manage trips using in-house systems, including route planning and loading coordination.
  • Monitor and report on operational and financial performance weekly and monthly.
  • Maintain strong client relationships, resolve queries, and ensure service delivery within SLA.
  • Support budget and resource planning using relevant data and analysis.
  • Supervise site operations including wash bay, workshop, and daily paperwork.
  • Drive operational efficiencies and ensure high-quality service delivery.
  • Manage staff development, motivation, and address grievances.
  • Promote teamwork and collaboration within the depot.
Qualifications

Completed Grade 12, Diploma or Degree in Logistics or Supply Chain (advantageous)
