Creditors: Ensure all invoices and POs are signed off and submitted to Finance. Follow up on outstanding money.
Other Responsibilities: Insurance claims, traffic fines, vehicle maintenance.
Management of Driver Hours: Oversee and manage driver working hours.
Budget and Resource Planning: Use relevant data and analysis to give input into budget preparation for the division / depot.
Client Service: Service Culture - Deliver within SLA.
Partnership Management: Cultivate objective working relationships with a variety of stakeholders (e.g. HR team, IT, Clients).
Client Relationship Management: Daily client interactions on the frontline. Solve challenges and queries to reduce complaints.
Operational Execution: Oversee and manage own fleet of vehicles, including weekly checks, services, washbay management, breakdowns (where applicable), licensing of vehicles, trip management, load trips onto in-house application, manage and schedule drivers working hours, route planning, and oversee successful loading of goods at clients with all relevant paperwork.
Site Management: Manage the washbay, workshop, and diesel.
Reporting: Prepare and submit weekly operational stats, weekly financial flash to clients, and monthly operational stats. Work with a team of drivers to deliver operational efficiencies and superior quality customer experiences within SLA.
Staff Management: Manage own development to increase competencies for the position function and future leadership growth opportunities. Plan and manage performance, skills development, and team motivation to achieve efficiencies and increase competencies. Address employee issues or grievances. Manage drivers' performance, including weekly monitoring of their consumption per km, daily debrief, and weekly reports indicating outliers. Manage drivers' PDP and licenses, leave, and overtime (update daily). Support effective teamwork within depot / branch.
