Job description

SUMMARY :

Our client in the Petroleum Oil and Gas sector is seeking a Fleet Maintenance Technician to join their team based in Durban (Umbilo).

POSITION DETAILS :

Duties :

1. Perform maintenance on trucks, trailers, and depot equipment, including routine inspections.
2. Respond to 24-hour breakdowns (standby).
3. Maintain fleet and depot operations.
4. Carry out repairs on trucks and trailers.
5. Order parts and manage stock levels.
6. Conduct roadworthy and safe loading inspections.
7. Work weekends when required.
8. Change tyres and perform tyre maintenance.
9. Clean tanks and handle tank installations and repairs.
10. Perform health and safety inspections.
11. Conduct fleet inspections.
12. Perform general duties as assigned.

Qualifications :

• Matric certificate.
• Valid driver’s license.

Experience :

• Mechanical or pneumatics experience is advantageous.
• Ability to work under pressure.
