Fleet Controller

Minimum Requirements:

• National Diploma in Operations Management / Fleet Management / Logistics and Supply Chain
• 3 Years experience in a similar role
• Experience in working as part of supply chain team
• Advanced Fleet and transport knowledge

Duties include:

Fleet Management

• Assist in compiling of fleet policy, and act as custodian thereof
• Manage acquisition process and definition of appropriate vehicles
• Compile budget TCO calculations and monitor performance thereof
• Assist in defining control systems for Fuel, maintenance and tyre management
• Manage control processes regarding fuel, maintenance and tyre management.
• Manage all service providers relating to Fleet related purchases
• Manage all pre-defined exceptions with regard to Fleet management
• Managing of license renewals and COFS
• Create and manage control system for vehicle maintenance and monitor controls
• Custodian of internal fleet master CPK, and managing exceptions
• Monthly reporting on fleet costs

Distribution Management

• Assist in compiling of outsourced transport policy and definition of Transporter Service Level Agreement
• Selection and vetting of transport service providers
• Reviewing of supplier rates and benchmarking against market
• Analysis and reporting of outsource vs insource costs
• Analysis and reporting of delivery route profitability
• Analysis and reporting of customer cost to serve
• Monthly reporting on outsourced transport cost by branch
