Locations Supported

Cape Town, South Africa (PRIMARY); Poland - Remote; Dublin, Ireland. This role will be hybrid and will require you to spend some portion of your time in our office in one of these locations.

About the Opportunity

This person will be working in both the Transaction Monitoring and Screening teams as an operational team member to review and resolve financial crimes alerts on a day-to-day basis. In addition, the role will be responsible for escalating suspicious activity, when appropriate, for suspicious activity reporting in the required jurisdiction. This person will engage with all teams in MoonPay's Financial Intelligence Unit and Compliance Teams and will be able to progress their career within MoonPay using those skill sets and knowledge acquired.

What you will do

  1. Review Transaction Monitoring and Screening alerts for financial crimes risk (hybrid split as needed).
  2. Internal and External escalations that present a financial crimes risk.
  3. Performing Case Investigations.
  4. Draft Suspicious Activity Reports for filing by the relevant Money Laundering Reporting Officer.

About You

What you will need

  1. Previous working experience in Financial Crime / Compliance analytical / investigations role(s), for at least 2 years, preferably in TM / FIU and / or Screening.
  2. ACAMS / ACFCS or ICA accreditation.
  3. Wallet screening experience (Chainalysis, TRM, Elliptic, CipherTrace, Scorechain).
  4. Attention to detail.
  5. To take MoonPay values at heart.
  6. To be comfortable making sound, evidence-based decisions and recommendations.
  7. To be positive and open-minded.
  8. A fluency in English.
  9. To love what you do!
