Key Performance Areas
- Repairs and maintenance of machinery and equipment in line with prescribed regulations and standards, including Companies Asset Care System (HACS).
- Conducting regular inspections, fault finding, and preventative maintenance jobs.
- Driving innovation and business improvements to support operational and segment goals.
- Implementing initiatives aligned with business plans.
- Fabrication of components through turning, milling, welding, and fitting.
- Participating in mini-business activities such as TPM.
- Adhering to relevant health, safety, and quality standards.
The Successful Candidate Must Preferably Have the Following Experience/Skills
- N3 equivalent Mechanical qualification (NQF 4), with a Mechanical Trade (Fitter Turner/Millwright).
- At least 2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
- N4 - N6 Technical qualification (advantageous).
- Experience in an FMCG environment (advantageous).
- Experience working with high-speed bottling machinery (distinct advantage).
- Labelling experience (advantageous).
- Ability to work accurately according to measurements and specifications.
- Competence in turning, milling, argon, and arc welding.
- Knowledge of pneumatics and hydraulics.
- Demonstrates good leadership behavior towards colleagues, superiors, and aligns with company values.
- Strong problem-solving and fault-finding abilities.
- Physical capability to meet the demands of the position.
- Willingness to work shifts, weekends, and flexible hours.
- Reliable transportation to and from work.
