Job summary

Siemens Energy invites suitably qualified South African candidates to apply for the Fitter or Turner Apprenticeship Programme in Wadeville, Gauteng. The 48-month programme combines institutional training with practical on‑the‑job training and is designed to help successful candidates work towards obtaining a recognised trade test certificate.

Successful apprentices will receive both classroom and workplace training within an industrial engineering environment, with mentorship and opportunities

Qualifications

• Must have passed TVET college subjects at N3 to N6 level: Mathematics, Engineering Science, Mechanotechnology, Engineering Drawings.
• Alternatively, a National Certificate (Vocational) Level 4 containing: Engineering Processes, Professional Engineering Practice and Applied Engineering Technology.

Responsibilities

• Apprenticeship combines institutional training with on‑the‑job training over 48 months.
• Programme prepares candidates for a trade test and a career in industrial engineering.
