Staff Unlimited Recruitment is seeking two qualified Fitter – Mechanical Maintenance for a packaging operation in Gqeberha. You will maintain, repair and improve production machinery to ensure plant efficiency, reliability, safety and productivity.

Successful candidates will have trade-tested Fitter status, Red Seal, and at least 5 years of experience with hydraulics and pneumatics, SAP/Pragma familiarity, and the ability to work shifts with standby and overtime as required.

Qualifications

• Trade-tested Fitter with a Red Seal qualification.
• Grade 12 (Matric) with Pure Mathematics and Physical Sciences, together with N3 Mechanical Engineering Studies.
• At least 5 years’ fitting and turning experience.
• Experience with hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Computer literacy and experience using maintenance management systems such as Pragma or SAP.
• Strong mechanical fault-finding, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Willingness to work shifts, standby and overtime as required.
• Experience in corrugating operations.
• Knowledge of packaging machinery and equipment.

Responsabilités

• Perform preventative and breakdown maintenance on production machinery and equipment.
• Conduct mechanical fault-finding, repairs, installations and routine equipment inspections.
• Execute planned maintenance schedules and ensure accurate maintenance records are completed.
• Identify and implement machinery modifications, upgrades and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Maintain equipment reliability and support optimal plant efficiency and production output.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations, quality management procedures and housekeeping standards.
• Provide guidance and support to team members where required.
• Work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining high standards of workmanship and safety.

Our client in the packaging industry is seeking two qualified and experienced Fitters to join their Maintenance Department.
