Our client is seeking a dedicated professional who will be responsible for overseeing the fitting operations, ensuring the fabrication, assembly, and installation of mechanical components and equipment meet stringent quality standards and specifications. Responsibilities

• Oversee the installation, maintenance, and repair of mechanical equipment.
• Supervise a team of fitters and allocate tasks accordingly.
• Ensure all work is completed safely and in compliance with company standards and regulations.
• Inspect and test machines and equipment to diagnose issues and perform necessary repairs.
• Monitor equipment performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Maintain accurate records of work performed, including maintenance logs and repair reports.
• Train and mentor junior fitters, providing guidance and support as needed.
• Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth workflow and minimal downtime.
• Adhere to all health and safety regulations and promote a culture of safety among the team.

Requirements

• Grade 12 or N3 Certificate.
• Proven experience as a Fitter Foreman or in a similar role.
• Trade qualification as a Fitter or in a related field.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical equipment and systems.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and manuals.
• Good problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Salary : Negotiable
