Job Description

Sovereign, a national supplier of quality chicken products to various markets with operations in five provinces, is seeking a thorough and committed individual for the position of Fitter for its Feedmill operations in the Agriculture division. This position holds the TASK Grade T10 and reports directly to the Senior Fitter and indirectly to the Maintenance Manager. The successful incumbent should be in the possession of a Fitter/Fitter and Turner trade test and experience in feed milling equipment maintenance and utilization will be an advantage. A minimum of 3 years post qualification, hands on-mechanical maintenance experience is required, preferably in a feed mill.

Responsibilities

• Attend to mechanical breakdowns.
• Carry out preventative maintenance.
• Adhere to all Health & Safety Regulations.
• Report all unsafe working conditions.
• Complete all job cards.
• Ensure good housekeeping.
• Attend to boiler and compressor.
• Attend to call-outs.
