Fitter Aid / Assistant

Purpose of the role
• Responsible for supporting an Artisan Fitter with fitting activities.

Your responsibilities

1. Support an Artisan Fitter with fitting activities.
2. The ability to keep records.
3. The ability to understand and read detailed drawings and make the necessary calculations.
4. The ability to assemble machinery.
5. The ability to use tools and gas equipment.
6. Fitting structural components together.
7. Troubleshoot and repair a malfunctioning system.
8. Knowledge and basic understanding of the roles of a Fitter.
9. Ability to work under pressure, overtime and on standby.
10. Good housekeeping management.
11. Adhere to company policies and procedures and in accordance with customers' requirements.
12. Willing to work outside of your Job Specification.
13. Willing to work as a team player.
14. Good communication skills.
15. Attention to details.

1. Grade 12.
2. N2 Engineering will be advantageous.
3. 2 years experience as a Fitter Assistant.
4. 2 years' working in an Engineering Environment.
5. Engineering / Technical jobs.
6. Fitter Aid.
