Job description

Vacancy: Fitment Quality Inspector

Region: Cape Town

Reporting to: Technical Manager

Overall purpose of the job: To manage and maintain quality within Fidelity Secure Drive.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Customer Issue Resolution: Maintain and resolve customer-related issues. Present and defend Fidelity Secure Drive fitment-related issues as required.
  2. Quality Assurance: Ensure high-quality fitment of tracking systems, including hardware installations, repairs, and technical evaluations. Implement OEM fitment techniques and ensure adherence to quality standards.
  3. Operational Support: Complete on-the-job training, attend to complaints, provide onsite and remote product support, and assist with fitments as needed.
  4. Resource Management: Manage allocated resources such as vehicle cleanliness, tools, stock, and uniform. Conduct stock takes and ensure tools and stock are secure.
  5. Technical Maintenance: Maintain and repair tracking systems, ensure devices are operational, and monitor data usage.
  6. Compliance and Hygiene: Maintain personal hygiene as per PSIRA, keep company uniform in good condition, and adhere to company policies and procedures.
  7. Continuous Development: Attend training, develop skills, and provide feedback to internal teams.
Minimum Qualifications and Experience:
  • Matric
  • Driver's license (Code B)
  • Clear criminal record
  • Psira Grade C
  • Trade test in motor electrical/electronics or similar (preferred)
  • Auto-electrician qualification (advantageous)
  • 6-10 years' experience in vehicle tracking equipment fitment
