Job summary

ManpowerGroup SA is seeking a Firmware Engineer to join a global client focused on biometric security products. You’ll work in an embedded Linux environment, developing secure and high‑performance applications for the Biometrics product line.

This role requires strong C/C++, expertise in embedded Linux, and hands‑on hardware driver work (GPIO/UART/I2C/SPI). You’ll participate in security reviews, implement robust code, and contribute to Linux builds with Yocto/OpenEmbedded.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of practical engineering experience.
• Strong English communication.
• Expert in C/C++.
• Proficient in developing for embedded Linux.
• Comfortable with hardware driver level (GPIO, UART, I2C, SPI).
• Able to analyze problems and determine solutions; familiar with in-circuit emulators, GNU toolchains, gdb, and cmake.
• Experience with Secure Software Development Lifecycles.
• Experience with Cryptographic Standards.
• Proficient in Rust programming language.
• Experience with QA processes.
• Experience setting up and utilizing virtual machines.
• Familiarity with cyber security testing methodologies and tools.
• Familiarity with Yocto/OpenEmbedded Linux.

Our global client who produces cutting-edge security products is seeking a Firmware Engineer to join their team. You would be joining as a firmware engineer where you will get to work with the teams in a Scaled Agile environment. The primary focus of this role is the development of the Biometrics product line. You will be working in an embedded Linux environment, implementing secure and performant applications.
