Job summary

Network Finance is sourcing a Fire Engineer for a specialist consultancy delivering fire protection solutions across commercial, industrial, and high‑risk environments.

The role involves developing fire rational designs, deemed‑to‑satisfy fire solutions, fire suppression system designs, and smoke ventilation strategies, plus conducting risk and compliance assessments. You will support projects through ECSA stages 1–6 and collaborate with clients and authorities.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years’ experience as a Fire Engineer within the fire consulting environment.
• Experience with performance-based fire designs (BS 7974).
• Strong knowledge of SANS 10400 (T, W, S, and M) and related fire standards.
• Experience designing wet and dry fire suppression systems (ASIB, SANS 10287, NFPA, and FM Global).
• Exposure to special risk fire solutions (e.g. transformers and Li‑BESS).
• Smoke ventilation design experience (EN 12101).
• Understanding of ECSA Stages 1–6.
• Fire risk and fire compliance assessment experience.

Responsibilities

• Conduct fire risk and compliance assessments across projects.
