Job summary

The Recruitment Pig in Cape Town is seeking a Fire Detection Technician to join a leading fire protection team in Stellenbosch/Cape Town. You will program and test addressable fire panels and configure safety systems to protect people and property.

You will work with site teams, ensure accurate site-specific programming, and participate in final system testing. A strong troubleshooting mind and hands-on experience are essential, with a valid SA driver's license preferred.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 (Matric) certificate.
• SAQCC Fire Detection Commissioner qualification (Level 4 preferred).
• At least 3 years of hands-on experience programming addressable fire panels.
• A valid South African driver's license.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and a willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Program addressable fire detection control panels and system controllers.
• Configure software settings for gas suppression and emergency safety systems.
• Test and commission systems on-site to ensure they work correctly.
• Upload and save site-specific programming files safely.
