Your Role at 1Nebula:

As a FinOps Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in bridging the gap between teams to drive cloud cost analysis and optimization. FinOps, an evolving cloud financial management discipline, empowers organizations to maximize business value by facilitating collaboration across engineering, finance, technology, and business teams. Your primary responsibility will be to assist in making data-driven decisions that optimize cloud spending, ensuring the efficient use of resources and contributing to overall cost management strategies.

In this role, you will actively engage with cross-functional teams to understand cloud expenditure, identify cost-saving opportunities, and implement best practices in financial governance, all while helping to refine the FinOps process within 1Nebula. You will have the opportunity to influence both financial strategies and technical implementations to optimize cloud investments for businesses.

What You’ll Do:

1. Offer Business Support and Analysis to drive client engagements
2. Conduct investigations, gather and normalize data, analyse trends and results
3. Compile and present reports
4. Investigate and upskill on cloud concepts
5. Conduct investigations into customer’s cloud environments to identify areas of financial optimization
6. Share knowledge with the greater Nebula team
7. Document processes and methodologies
8. Prepare and present findings
9. Maintain an updated client Baseline
10. Attend weekly client and service provider engagements and ensure adhoc requests are attended to in a timely manner
11. Provide assistance to Nebula’s FinOps team as required
12. Understand and create new PowerBI dashboards, maintenance of existing dashboards and reports

Requirements:

1. Bachelor’s degree
2. A strong interest in FinOps and a willingness to learn and grow over the course of the internship
3. A keen interest in analytics or cloud technology demonstrated through self-study or previous certifications
4. Excellent written and verbal communication skills
5. Creative problem-solving skills
6. Strong self-management skills
7. Intermediate Microsoft Excel experience
8. Strong decision-making ability
9. Meticulous attention to detail
10. Excellent analytical skills
11. PowerBI experience advantageous
