Job description

Purpose
The Finished Goods Warehouse Manager leads the finished goods warehouse team to ensure department metrics are achieved in a safe, timely, quality, cost efficient and productive manner.

The Finished Goods Warehouse Manager is accountable for the achievement of service quality and reliability, product food safety, stock integrity, productivity, and HSE compliance.

In addition, the Finished Goods Warehouse Manager will be a key driver in development and implementation of process improvement initiatives.

Key Functional Duties
  1. Manage and lead the warehouse team.
  2. Measure and improve effectiveness of activities and employee performance.
  3. Supervise the operations in the finished goods warehouse.
  4. Drive continuous improvement in the department.
  5. Utilize ERP system and reports to improve and control stock levels and movements.
  6. Implement stock control best practices / processes to ensure inventory accuracy.
  7. Ensure ERP system transaction accuracy.
  8. Liaise with internal departments and customers regarding sales order statuses.
  9. Plan and coordinate work schedule to ensure customer service levels are achieved.
  10. Maintain department standards in line with the company Food Safety and HSE programmes.
  11. Perform administrative duties as required.
  12. Accountable for inventory integrity and accuracy.
Required Knowledge And Skills
  1. Proven leadership and management skills.
  2. Sound working knowledge of ERP / WMS systems.
  3. Verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
  4. Ability to build cross functional relationships with colleagues and customers.
  5. Strong multi-tasking skills in a fast-paced working environment.
Required Education / Experience
  1. BCom in Logistics / Supply Chain and / or Level 4 CIPS qualification.
  2. FMCG Warehouse Management experience and + 4 years' experience within a similar role.
  3. Experience or strong interest in using ERP systems.
  4. Proficiency in MS Excel and Word.
