Job summary

Phoenix Recruitment Limited is seeking a Restaurant Supervisor for a fine dining or 5* hotel setting in Franschhoek. You will oversee service, lead briefings, and supervise mise-en-place and room service for various events. You will collaborate with the Head Chef and HR on training, compliance, and performance improvement while ensuring accurate orders, allergen awareness, and smooth daily operations.

Qualifications

• Experience in fine dining or 5* hotel restaurant environments is required.
• Knowledge of food and beverage service standards expected.
• Formal hospitality qualification or equivalent is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead pre- and post-service briefings and manage staff during service.
• Oversee mise-en-place, room service prep and event set-ups.
• Ensure guest orders are taken accurately and delivered with attention to allergens.
• Coordinate with procurement for beverage lists and ensure correct pricing.
• Monitor stock, shift scheduling and disciplinary discussions with HR when needed.
