Qualifications

  • BCom Accounting degree with completed articles required.
  • Minimum 5 years post-article experience in finance.

Job description

Job Responsibilities

To investigate, analyze, and report on current business processes, financial information, budgets, forecasting, operational processes, and business needs.

Reporting and Analysis
  • Prepare operational financial results reports from POS systems / BI systems
  • Prepare stock transfer reports and resolve discrepancies
  • Prepare presentations and reports for directors and shareholders meetings
  • Streamline and automate various financial reports
  • Generate various reports from BI portals
  • Ensure quality control and integrity of all financial transactions, compliance, and financial reporting
  • Perform cash flow forecasting and schedules when needed
Project Management
  • Assist with the implementation of a new POS system
  • Support other projects as required
Accounting
  • Back-up for financial accountants during their counting work when needed
  • Assist in budget preparations and importing data into accounting systems
Audits
  • Support SARS and Franchisor-related audits
  • Assist with local store marketing schedules and audit preparations, send information to agents
Requirements
  • BCom Accounting degree with completed articles
  • Minimum 5 years post-article experience
  • BI reporting experience
  • Previous retail experience is a strong advantage
  • Experience with Pastel Evolution is a strong advantage
