About the Role Join FNB as a Financial Portfolio Analyst within Retail Finance, where you'll collaborate with diverse talents in an environment that fosters curiosity and effective change.

Your responsibilities include : Developing relationships within FirstRand franchises and the Corporate Centre, including Group Treasury, Group Finance, and ERM.

Participating in industry discussions related to IFRS and financial reporting.

Analyzing new markets for the group.

Producing market commentary on peer group banks' press releases and trading updates, including impact analysis.

Preparing in-depth competitor analysis of financial results and strategies at a product level, understanding domestic competition strategies, income drivers, returns, volatility, trends, and forecasts.

Analyzing other market information such as BA , NCA data, and Pillar III data.

Supporting performance measurement work streams, including risk-return framework setting.

Ideal Candidate Support analysis for franchise / segment targets and hurdles.

Assist resource allocation and decision-making processes.

Coordinate risk-return frameworks and risk appetite setting.

Maintain internal analysis records, including historical data and presentation packs.

Build HFM Smart View files and processes.

Support FCC projects impacting performance measurement.

Provide backup for team processes when needed.

Qualifications & Experience A BCom in Finance / Accounting (CA advantageous).

Experience in research on topical matters impacting the team's mandate.
