Description

Our client in the Financial Services Industry, based in Roodepoort, Gauteng, is currently looking to employ a Financial Planning Partner Assistant.

Requirements:
  • 2-3 years of experience in the financial services industry (advantageous)
  • Relevant tertiary education or courses
  • Understanding of FAIS and FICA legislation
  • Computer skills: Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook), SharePoint
  • Xplan experience
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Customer-centric and relationship-oriented high-energy individual
  • Methodical, accurate, meticulous attention to detail

Responsibilities and Expectations:
Client Services:
  • Implement client service experience as defined by Head of Operations
  • Manage administrative processes and controls in the Financial Planning practice
  • Liaise between Financial Planner Partners and product providers
  • Follow formal complaint resolution processes
  • Serve as a point of contact for clients, ensuring efficient delivery of requirements
  • Adhere to Treating Customer Fairly principles
Operations:
  • Gather client information and prepare documentation for engagements
  • Capture and verify FICA and AML requirements during onboarding
  • Check transition documentation for accuracy and completeness
  • Administer client transfers and new business transactions
  • Monitor underwriting and acceptance of new business
  • Arrange medicals and follow up on outstanding requirements
  • Provide ongoing support to clients and Financial Planning Partners
  • Manage commission statements and suspense accounts
Support for Portfolio Managers and CRMs:
  • Coordinate with PCS CRMs for client mandates and applications
  • Manage instructions via Xplan tasks
IT and Systems:
  • Prepare client portfolios and ensure Xplan data accuracy
  • Capture client data and ensure proper record keeping
  • Manage communication and documentation distribution
  • Prepare for client reviews and maintain diaries
  • Address technology issues with IT support
NAV and KPIs:
  • Understand NAV data to support the practice
  • Monitor personal KPIs on NAV
  • Seek guidance for improvement where needed
Marketing Support:
  • Assist with organizing client events
  • Support Financial Planning Partners at events
  • Strengthen client relationships as a primary contact
Office Management:
  • Support reception, facilities, and supplies management
  • Order stationery, marketing materials timely
