What will you do?

The role involves providing professional and relevant financial advice, planning, and products (sales) tailored to clients' needs. You will work towards acquiring sustainable, high-quality business in line with set targets. Maintaining and servicing clients to foster long-term loyalty, enhancing the Sanlam brand and business, is essential. All activities must be conducted ethically and compliantly.

What will make you successful in this role?
  1. Assist in growing the Sanlam Adviser Business: Support marketing plans and targets aligned with the distribution strategy. Use knowledge of market segmentation and customer profiles to support sales growth. Achieve targets related to revenue (single and recurring premiums), activity quotas, promoting the Sanlam brand, applying fair treatment of customers in all interactions, and aligning the role with your career aspirations.
  2. Networking, prospecting, and lead generation: Engage in face-to-face interactions to create opportunities. Prospect through social/business networks, associations, or presentations. Build trust and convert relationships into business. Enhance existing relationships with better service. Use existing sources to identify opportunities across Sanlam businesses. Create personalized client value propositions. Utilize social media marketing. Engage in activities to generate leads and prospects. Identify marketing gaps within the middle-high and affluent markets. Implement targeted campaigns with clients. Seek referrals and active leads. Monitor client activities like maturities, cancellations, or surrenders.
  3. Client consultations and sales: Ensure all client interactions comply with disclosure and advice standards. Conduct comprehensive fact-finding and document findings. Perform financial needs analysis using appropriate tools or systems. Provide sound financial planning advice. Present solutions professionally, aligned with fair customer treatment. Use systems to record and update client information. Review portfolios annually.
  4. Client Service: Maintain ethical, courteous, and professional interactions. Follow up on queries and resolve issues promptly. Deliver excellent, value-added service to retain clients. Continuously update knowledge and skills. Build long-term relationships with clients.
  5. Monitoring, updating, and reporting: Track contacts, appointments, and consultations. Report on issued business and revenue against targets. Update client records regularly. Maintain accurate activity logs.
Qualifications and Experience

Grade 12, with successful completion of the Financial Advisory and Intermediary Services Act (FAIS) "Fit and Proper" requirements and Regulatory Examination, especially if registered with the FSCA for over 24 months.

Knowledge and Skills
