The purpose of this role is to provide new and existing clients with professional, relevant financial advice, planning, and products that suit their needs and requirements.

Undertake the procurement of sustainable, high-quality business in line with set targets.

Maintain and service these clients as part of a long-term relationship that builds loyalty and generates ongoing advice and sales.

Operate within a compliant and ethical framework to build and sustain the Sanlam Group's business and brand.

What will make you successful in this role?

  1. Assist in growing the Sanlam Adviser Business: Be committed to marketing plans and targets, apply knowledge of market segmentation and customer profiles to support sales, and attain targets related to revenue, activity quotas, and brand promotion. Align your career aspirations with this role.
  2. Networking, prospecting, and lead generation: Engage in face-to-face interactions, social or business, to create opportunities; prospect through networks and associations; turn relationships into business; strengthen existing relationships; use sources across Sanlam; develop personalized client value propositions; utilize social media marketing; undertake activities to generate leads; identify sales opportunities within the middle-high and affluent markets; structure campaigns; request referrals; monitor client activities like maturities and surrenders.
  3. Client consultations and sales: Ensure all interactions are compliant; conduct comprehensive fact-finding; document findings; perform financial needs analysis; provide sound financial advice; present solutions professionally; use system tools for analysis and record-keeping; review portfolios annually.
  4. Client Service: Maintain ethical, courteous, and professional interactions; follow up on queries; deliver excellent service; continuously update knowledge; initiate and maintain long-term relationships.
  5. Monitoring, updating, and reporting: Document activities such as contacts, consultations, business issued, revenue, and client details; ensure proper system entries.

Qualifications and Experience: Grade 12; FAIS 'Fit and Proper' certification if registered with FSCA for over 24 months.

Knowledge and Skills: Financial advice, target achievement, compliance, client management, financial planning, and recommendations.

Personal Attributes: Effective communication, tech-savvy, action-oriented, interpersonal skills, persuasion.
