Financial Operations Manager

Our Client, a leader in the Market, is seeking a Gauteng-based Financial Operations Manager, with completed Articles and at least 5 years' experience in a general financial management position.

Duties & Responsibilities

1. Display people leadership by identifying and managing training, coaching, and development requirements.
2. Deliver financial planning & results by aligning financial strategies with BBBEE transformational agenda.
3. Stakeholder relationship management.
4. Ownership of annual audit and financial statements.
5. Ownership of asset control and fixed asset accounting.
6. Preparation & review of taxation & tax compliance (incl. income tax, VAT, and gambling tax).
7. Compiling and maintaining budgets.
8. Compiling reports and financial packs for submission to the Board of Directors.

Desired Experience & Qualification

1. BComm Finance / Accounting with Articles or equivalent.
2. 5 years experience of staff management.
3. Registration with a Professional Accounting body is an advantage.
4. Experience in a hospitality / gaming environment is an advantage.
5. Knowledge of SA tax.
6. Knowledge of gambling tax would be beneficial.
7. Excellent report writing skills and proficiency in MS Word, MS Excel, an accounting package (preferably Great Plains), and a fixed asset package.
8. Display effective leadership skills.
9. Ability to work effectively to meet tightly scheduled deadlines.
10. Willing to work overtime (when required).
