A leading company in the gaming and entertainment sector is seeking a Financial Operations Manager based in Gauteng. This is a dynamic and strategic role suited to a self-driven, results-oriented finance professional with a proven track record in financial management and operational oversight.

Reporting directly to the Regional General Manager, the successful candidate will play a key leadership role in driving financial performance, governance, and team development across the business unit.

As the Financial Operations Manager you will be responsible for the following:
  • Providing strong people leadership, including identifying training and development needs, managing succession planning, and driving talent growth aligned to business strategy
  • Aligning financial strategy with transformation goals, including BBBEE objectives
  • Ensuring robust financial governance through the implementation of internal controls, systems, and processes
  • Overseeing financial operations, including accurate recording and delivery of financial transactions via the Shared Services Centre
  • Managing relationships with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring accurate financial reporting in line with statutory deadlines
  • Full ownership of annual audits and preparation of financial statements
  • Managing asset control and fixed asset accounting
  • Overseeing tax compliance, including income tax, VAT, and gambling tax
  • Compiling and maintaining budgets and forecasts
  • Preparing and presenting board packs and financial reports for the Board of Directors

Job Experience and Skills Required:
BCom in Finance or Accounting, with completed articles or equivalent
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a financial management role with direct staff supervision
Professional accounting body registration is advantageous
Prior experience in the hospitality or gaming industry is highly desirable
Solid knowledge of South African tax
Strong leadership, communication, and deadline-driven execution skills
