Placements24 is seeking a skilled Data Scientist with a specialization in financial modeling for its Mahikeng analytics team. You will leverage large datasets to build predictive models, optimize financial strategies, and drive data-informed decisions within banking and finance.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams in a hybrid work environment, applying advanced analytical techniques to real-world financial challenges in South Africa.

Qualifications

• Master's or PhD in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, or related quantitative field.
• Proven experience in developing and deploying predictive models, particularly in financial contexts.
• Proficient in Python or R and libraries like scikit-learn, TensorFlow, or PyTorch.
• Strong knowledge of statistical modeling, ML algorithms, and data mining techniques.

Responsibilities

• Develop, validate, and deploy advanced statistical and ML models for financial forecasting and risk assessment.
