The successful candidate will have various duties.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- BCom or relevant degree in accounting.
- BCom honours with articles will be an advantage.
- 3-5 years of experience as an Accountant or Financial Manager within the Motor Industry.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Preparation and analysis of Management accounts.
- Timely preparation and implementation of budgets.
- Preparation of forecasts.
- Completion of relevant statutory returns.
- Oversee internal audits at the Dealership.
- Bank reconciliation.
- Issuing and posting of cashbook payments.
- Prepare and submit monthly reports in a timely and accurate manner.
- Monthly reconciliation of General Ledger.
- Control petty cash.
- Ability to identify financial risks and implement solutions.
- Monitor current controls and report non-conformances immediately.
- Able to implement policies and procedures.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
- Business and financial acumen.
- Understanding of accounting principles.
- Good understanding of incentive scheme calculations.
- Sound knowledge of manufacturer and Imperial requirements.
- Knowledge of governance and compliance regulations and requirements.
- Advanced knowledge of automate or similar.
