Financial Manager - retail industry

Are you a qualified CA(SA) looking for an exciting leadership role in the retail sector? Our group of two retail companies is seeking a Financial Manager to oversee all financial operations and drive strategic decision-making.

About the Role:
As the Financial Manager, you will play a key role in managing the financial health of the business, ensuring compliance, and providing strategic guidance. You will lead the accounting team, work closely with senior management, and oversee all aspects of financial reporting and control.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Oversee the full financial function for both companies
2. Prepare and review financial statements, budgets, and forecasts
3. Ensure tax compliance and manage risk assessments
4. Provide financial analysis to support business growth
5. Manage cash flow, audits, and internal controls
6. Lead and mentor the finance team

Requirements:

1. CA(SA) qualification (Chartered Accountant)
2. Minimum 5 years’ experience in a Financial Manager role
3. Strong leadership and analytical skills
4. Retail industry experience is an advantage
5. Proficiency in accounting software and financial systems
6. Strategic mindset with excellent problem-solving abilities
