Financial Manager - Reporting : Ca(Sa)

My Client in the Agricultural sector seeks a Financial Manager.

Reporting to the CFO, the Financial Manager – Reporting is responsible for accounting, financial and management reporting of the Company's operations in close collaboration with Financial Manager – Operations and the Business Team.

The role is responsible for accounting, cost control, capex management / control and inventory management.

As well as preparing financial reports, analysing financial trends and performance, and providing guidance to other business units.Duties & ResponsibilitiesMonthly financial and management reporting.Ensuring accounting requirements and deadlines of the team are met by making optimal use of systems and best practice.Financial year-end processes, including liaising with auditors and preparation of group financial statements in accordance with IFRS.Fulfilling statutory and corporate reporting requirements, including but not limited to, file returns for PAYE, VAT, Income Tax and other statutory obligations.Evaluate profit and cost efficiencies and related trends in various areas of the organisation.Acting as a point of contact for different business units (eg.

Commercial, Treasury, Operations).Preparation of other data and reports as required by the Executive Team from time to time.Drive change regarding implementation and utilisation of new / existing systems.Strong Leadership within the Finance function.Monitoring and improving finance processes in order to achieve 'best in class' standard.As and when required, the Financial Manager will be expected to assist in the achievement of other ad hoc strategic initiatives.Desired Experience & QualificationChartered accountant CA(SA), registered with SAICA2 to 8 years' experience (post articles) in financial accounting role.At least 2 years' FM experience in a General Accounting role - not Auditing.FMCG industry experience is essential.Experience in the commodity trading industry is an advantage.Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office (emphasis on Microsoft Excel).Strong change management and analytical skills.Driven individual with the ability to manage multiple assignments.Ability to complete projects timely (deadline driven) and accurately is critical.Someone who is detail-oriented with strong organizational and analytical skills.Ability to work well with others (teamwork) in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.The role requires a hands-on and independent-minded individual.Position is paying R1.2M CTC (Negotiable).Seniority levelMid-Senior levelEmployment typeFull-timeJob functionResearch, Analyst, and Information TechnologyIndustriesAgricultural Chemical Manufacturing, Manufacturing, and Food and Beverage Manufacturing
