ROLE SUMMARY :

To adopt a holistic view to students in their care, promoting the general progress and well-being of individuals and of any class or group assigned to them. To create a positive learning environment and motivate students to achieve their full potential.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES :

1. Ability to communicate well with staff as well as with all students across the three schools on our campus.
2. Deep knowledge of books. Good librarians usually read a variety of genres and types of books so that they can help to advise readers as to good books for their reading level and their interests.
3. Ability to promote reading.
4. Ability to present information clearly and in an interesting manner.
5. Some public speaking skills may be required.
6. Strong level of customer service skills.
7. Team player.
8. Ability to help overcome issues by focusing on solutions instead of on the problems.
9. Organizational skills that are enhanced through a growth mindset.
10. Must maintain a solid overall understanding of different issues that confront libraries of all sizes.
