A large manufacturing company, recognised as a prominent player across Africa, requires a hands-on Financial Manager (South African citizen) to join their team in Palapye. The town is 100km from the South African border, and the gateway to overlanding opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage the full finance function including accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
  • Ensure compliance with local tax regulations and financial standards.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for management and stakeholders.
  • Liaise with external auditors, banks, and regulatory bodies.
  • Support strategic planning and decision-making with accurate financial data.
  • Manage cash flow, working capital, and risk assessment.
  • Lead and mentor a small finance team.

Requirements:

  • South African citizen.
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field with a professional accounting designation.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
  • Strong understanding of IFRS and local tax legislation.
  • Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and thrive in a remote, rural setting.
