Introduction

To effectively manage, coordinate, and monitor the general accounting, management accounting, budgeting, insurance, and risk management, as well as the overall utilization of the company's financial resources according to generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP), and to assist in maximizing profits.

Must be able to speak, read, and write English and Afrikaans fluently.

Experience working in Plant / Manufacturing / FMCG is essential.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Financial Management: Provide oversight and planning for financial management; prepare financial reports; analyze costs, pricing, variable contributions, sales results, and the company's actual performance compared to business plans; set goals and objectives for the financial department; ensure financial control; execute cost and production accounting tasks; draft and advise on accounting policies and procedures; manage the annual external audit; oversee debtor and creditor administration, procurement, and asset management.
  • Strategic Management: Conduct business financial planning; research latest developments; prepare financial forecasts; contribute to strategic planning, future direction, and growth of the business.

  • Liaison: Liaise with senior and line management, external role players including SARS, auditors, banks, and suppliers.

Desired Experience & Qualifications

Accounting or Financial Management qualification.

SAIPA Registration.

8 to 10 years of working experience.

Solid working experience in a plant, manufacturing, or FMCG environment is required.
