Job description

Financial Manager / Legal Bookkeeper –Nieuw Muckleneuk, Pretoria.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Reliable and professional individual
  • Fully bilingual with excellent communication, written and verbal skills
  • Matric / Grade 12
  • Strong recent Legal Bookkeeping experience up to Trial Balance a must, specifically at a law firm a must (industry bound)
  • Fully independently functional
  • Computer literate in MS Office
  • Advanced Lexpro proficiency preferred
  • Meticulous, attention to detail, analytical and problem-solver
  • Able to work towards deadlines and able to work in a team and individually
  • SARS statutory experience a must (E.g. VAT201, EMP201 + EMP501, ETI, etc.)
  • Intermediate FICA knowledge, and able to provide training (POPIA knowledge advantageous)
  • Stable employment record and contactable employment References a must
  • Currently residing in Pretoria (within daily commuting distance)
  • To start as soon as possible

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Full financial management and full legal bookkeeping / accounting up to Trial Balance for law firm (on Lexpro)
  • Daily and monthly financials on Lexpro, reporting to Directors
  • Completing Financial Reports and Management accounts
  • Managing company ledgers
  • Coordinating internal and external audits
  • Overseeing annual audit together with auditors
  • Monthly reporting, reviewing system reports
  • Monitoring leases, resolving errors
  • Submission of monthly VAT and PAYE returns, VAT201, EMP201 + EMP501, ETI, etc.
  • Cash flow and budget management
  • Liaison with banking institutions
  • Handling and overseeing Petty Cash system

Salary: R20 000 – R25 000 gross maximum.
