Job summary

A well-established investment firm is seeking a Financial Accountant to oversee financial accounting for group entities. The ideal candidate will have a CA(SA) or B Com with substantial experience in financial services or private equity. Responsibilities include management accounts preparation, trial balances finalisation, and ensuring compliance with statutory obligations.

Qualifications

• CA(SA) with at least 3 years post articles experience or B Com with at least 10 years experience.
• Experience within financial services or private equity essential.

Responsibilities

Works closely with bookkeeper;
Reports to CFO.

Responsibilities:

Is mainly responsible for the financial accounting function of Holdings company and group entities:

• Finalisation of Trial Balances
• Monthly management accounts;
• Consolidation of Holdings company entities;
• Annual financial statements preparation and finalisation ;
• Annual budget preparation; and
• Audit oversight.

Ensures compliance with Comapny's statutory obligations.

• Taxation;
• Companies' Act;
• FICA / KYC;
• FSB; and

Qualifications and Experience:

• CA(SA), with at least 3 years post articles experience OR
• B Com, with at least 10 years experience
• Essential: experience within financial services or private equity
• No preference for race or gender
