Financial Manager

Christian Art Distributors currently has a vacancy for a Financial Manager to be based full-time at our Head Office in Vereeniging (Vaal Triangle), within the Wholesale and retail sector. This position will report directly to the Managing Director and the main function of this position is to manage the Financial Department.

Duties & Responsibilities
  1. Oversee financial operations and ensure compliance with accounting standards.
  2. Develop and monitor budgets aligned with organizational goals.
  3. Prepare financial statements and reports for management review.
  4. Manage cash flow, including forecasting and monitoring liquidity.
  5. Coordinate with auditors and ensure timely completion of audits.
  6. Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard assets.
  7. Analyse financial data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  8. Provide financial insights and recommendations to support decision-making.
  9. Manage finance team and provide guidance as needed.
  10. Liaise with external stakeholders such as banks, regulators, and tax authorities.
  11. Ensure that all compliances are met.
Desired Experience & Qualifications

Qualifications: Relevant Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field is required. This foundational education must provide comprehensive knowledge of financial principles and practices, including financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis. Professional accounting qualifications are essential, which could include being a Certified Public Accountant, Chartered Accountant, Certified Management Accountant, or equivalent.

Experience: Proven experience (at least 15 years) in financial management or related role. Strong understanding of accounting principles and regulations. Proficiency in financial software and MS Office suite. Excellent communication and leadership skills. Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Afrikaans. Strong numerical proficiency is required. Excellent problem-solving skills. Must be an analytical thinker. Must be able to work under pressure. Excellent planning and organizing skills are required. Excellent adaptability and flexibility skills. Sound decision-making skills.
