Our Hammersdale based client is looking for a Financial Manager to join their team.
Purpose of the individual :
- Offer strategic support to the MD, Executive management team and business from a financial standpoint
- Safeguard the business financial interests and assets
- Strategic Planning
- Overall Business partner and Leader
POSITION INFO :
Minimum Requirements :
- CA (SA) or CIMA Qualified
- 2 -3 years post article experience in a manufacturing entity or similar environment
- Good working knowledge of ERP or systems
- Very good Excel, Word and PowerPoint skills
- knowledge of IT systems, IT networks and ERP systems
- Proven ability to lead, manage, motivate and develop people
- Interaction with Auditor

Key Performance Areas (including but not limited to) :
Finance
- Preparation of monthly management accounts by 3rd working day of each month and presentation of the results to DenmarkPreparation of annual reporting pack.Liaison with Denmark department regarding cash flow requirementsAnnual Company Budget preparation and presentationPreparation of monthly forecastLiaison and management of auditing and functionsCash Flow managementOverall facilitation of BBBEE processMonitor exchange rates and book FEC deals appropriately.Oversee the annual statutory audit
Controlling
- Cost ControlImplementation of cost saving measuresAuthorisation of invoices for paymentEnsure adherence to company policies regarding cost control and expenditureDebtors controlControl and reporting of customers with credit Creditors ControlPreparation and supply of various statistics & information to DenmarkDetection of cost variances and suggestions for improvementInventory cost correctionsMaintaining accurate data in the ERP system and updating / correcting where necessaryStock ReportingInsurance of all business assets
Information Technology
- Control IT expenditureManage performance of IT infrastructure in conjunction with DenmarkFacilitate the development of reports for the management team that are not available on the system
Management / Organisation
- Lead, manage and develop staff through implementation of systems and proceduresDefine training needs within the teamInteraction at management meetings and discussion forums
Company Secretarial / Administration
- Ensure company and management compliance with applicable laws of South AfricaFacilitate the legal compliance of the company from an administration point of view (SARS, CIPC, COID, UIF etc.)Ensuring staff applications and adherence to company policies and practices are consistent with good corporate governanceManage Payroll in conjunction and collaboration with Human Resources.Managing Banking and Financing Facilities
